What is UNLV Today?
UNLV Today is a daily e-newsletter that delivers information to UNLV faculty and staff via their Lotus Notes e-mail account. Information shared in UNLV Today includes upcoming events, training, benefit changes, organizational changes, and more.
Why was it created?
UNLV Today was created to be a centralized and consistent source of campus information. It consolidates what was UNLV Info e-mails into one daily e-newsletter.
What are the benefits of UNLV Today?
- Digest Format — messages will be collected and delivered once a day in an e-newsletter to subscriber's e-mail accounts
- Organized for Skimming — messages are grouped in the following categories:
- Announcements
- Parking, Facilities & Public Safety
- Events
- Training & Professional Development
- HR & Employment Announcements
- People (new hires, retirements, etc.)
- Just for Faculty Researchers
- Just for Admin Assistants
- Eliminates duplicate or "spam" messages
- More consistent look and feel
How does it work?
Subscribed employees receive an e-mail with the subject line "UNLV Today News for 5/15/07, etc." each morning. The e-mail is formatted in a newsletter style, simply click on a headline to read the full content.
